Leatherback turtles are coming in close to our coastline to hunt their favourite prey, jellyfish!
You can see them most often in calmer weather, when the water is warmer and the jellyfish come up to the surface.
This leatherback turtle (photo (c) JJ Boubert) was observed on 18 May last, 100 nautical miles from the northern tip of Ile de Ré.
Send us your observations and join the ranks of our Atlantic Observers!
