Film sur les requins - Aquarium La Rochelle

A Shark Q&A
Q&A

News
What separates sharks from other fish? How do sharks find their prey? How are sharks fed in an aquarium?

The answers to these questions will help you to learn more about sharks and dispel a number of preconceptions about them...

In reality, sharks are endangered species, with close to 100 million slaughtered each year. And yet, they play a vital role in maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems.

Some of the sequences filmed in an aquarium are truly exceptional, like the birth of zebra sharks. Those shots are further enhanced by interviews with professionals and striking images captured in nature.

Be sure to stop by the René Coutant Amphitheatre as you tour the Aquarium, where it is being screened in alternation with a film that goes behind the scenes at the Aquarium (subject to the Amphitheatre's availability).

This film was produced by the UCA (French Union of Aquarium Curators). It was directed by Thierry Joyeux of Oceanopolis Brest (Length: 23.5 min).
