E.U.A.C. European Union of Aquarium Curators: A European network bringing together aquarium curators and managers to foster the exchange of expertise, research, and best practices.
UCA Union of Aquarium Curators: A French association federating aquariology institutions around shared missions related to conservation, education, and animal welfare.
AFDPZ French Association of Zoological Parks: An organization bringing together the main French zoological parks and aquariums committed to species conservation, public awareness, and support for scientific research.
For many years, L’Aquarium La Rochelle has partnered with artists to create original and sensitive communication campaigns, reflecting its identity and its connection to the marine world:
Jean-Michel Bénier created the posters for L’Aquarium La Rochelle for over 25 years, helping to shape its visual world through creations that have become iconic.
Héloïse Bénier continues this collaboration today, having produced the Aquarium’s two most recent communication campaigns, bringing a contemporary and poetic perspective.
As a committed player in the knowledge and protection of the marine world, the Aquarium develops numerous partnerships with scientific organizations, research institutions, and biodiversity stakeholders. These collaborations help advance research, public awareness, and conservation efforts.

National Center for Scientific Research: The Aquarium collaborates with the CNRS on scientific exchanges and projects related to understanding marine ecosystems.
National Centre for Space Studies: A partner of the Argonautica symposium, in which the CESTM actively participates through talks and events. CNES also contributes to the tracking of sea turtles by fitting satellite tags to certain turtles rescued and treated before their return to the ocean.
In collaboration with the CESTM, the PELAGIS Observatory has been running the “Observateurs des Pertuis” program since 1996, a citizen science initiative to record marine mammals and sea turtles observed along the Atlantic coast.
