Dive into the heart of the ocean

Many visitors will tell you: there is nothing like starting these 24 hours in La Rochelle with a visit to the Aquarium, in the morning at 9am, as soon as it opens (remember to use the online ticketing system to be among the first to enter). The crowds are small, and we take advantage of the classical and baroque music playlist to marvel, learn and share!

Going to sea

Once you have experienced the enchantment of the underwater world, come back to the surface of the water. With Inter’Iles Catamaran, live a unique experience on board Harmony, their exceptional maxi-catamaran. With family or friends, comfortably and safely installed on the trampolines and deckchairs, all you have to do is enjoy the experience, the sea breeze and who knows… the schools of dolphins that you might come across offshore! You can embark 5 minutes on foot from the Aquarium, opposite the Crépeau media library.

Rise into the air

The Towers of La Rochelle are a bit like the Aquarium, everyone has heard of them but who really knows them? Until 12 June 2022, let yourself be seduced by the exhibition Le Chant des Ondes, des sirènes à Mélusine in the towers of La Rochelle. The exhibition invites young and old alike to dive into the watery waves to meet legendary creatures: from mermaids to the famous fairy Mélusine, visitors are invited to discover emblematic female figures in multiple forms, who have travelled through time and popular tales.

The most beautiful view in La Rochelle

It’s not just because we share the same building that the Brasserie Là-Haut features in our top 3, the view is unique. At lunchtime, while contemplating the Towers of La Rochelle on one side and the Tropical Forest on the other, let yourself be charmed by a spontaneous, generous and accessible cuisine.

C’est le Pompon !

The pun was easy, but our choice is the Pompon located on the port of La Rochelle. A traditional cuisine which also plays on seasonal products. On the terrace, in the bistro area or upstairs in the Art Deco decor, you can enjoy the evening at the Pompon!

The Aquarium shares with the three-star chef Christopher Coutanceau an infinite passion for the Ocean. Do we need to remind you that the Aquarium participated in the writing of his latest book, Seasons of the Ocean? Let’s stay efficient, Chris’s Yole offers a unique setting, seafood products selected by the chef and a terrace facing the ocean.
